【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationrecognizesthecomplexityofstructuralgluedproducts.Consequently,thisspecificationcoversbothspecificproceduresandstatementsofintentthatsamplingandanalysismustrelatetothespecificproduct.1.2Thisspecificationwasdevelopedinthelightofcurrentlymanufacturedproductsasdefinedin.Materialsthatdonotconformtothedefinitionsarebeyondthescopeofthisspecification.Abriefdiscussionisfoundin.1.3Detailsofmanufacturingproceduresarebeyondthescopeofthisspecification.Note1Thereissomepotentialformanufacturingvariablestoaffectthepropertiesofmembersthatareloadedforsustainedperiodsoftime.Usersofthisspecificationareadvisedtoconsiderthecommentaryonthistopicin.1.4Thisspecificationprimarilyconsidersenduseindryserviceconditions,suchaswithmostprotectedframingmembers,wheretheaverageequilibriummoisturecontentforsolid-sawnlumberislessthan16%.Theconditioningenvironmentofisconsideredrepresentativeofsuchuses.1.5Theperformanceofstructuralcompositelumberisaffectedbywoodspecies,woodelementsizeandshape,andadhesiveandproductionparameters.Therefore,productsproducedbyeachindividualmanufacturershallbeevaluatedtodeterminetheirproductproperties,regardlessofthesimilarityincharacteristicstoproductsproducedbyothermanufacturers.Whereamanufacturerproducesproductinmorethanonefacility,eachproductionfacilityshallbeevaluatedindependently.Foradditionalproductionfacilities,anyrevisionstothefullqualificationprograminaccordancewiththisspecificationshallbeapprovedbytheindependentqualifyingagency.1.6Thisspecificationisintendedtoprovidemanufacturers,regulatoryagencies,andenduserswithameanstoevaluateacompositelumberproductintendedforuseasastructuralmaterial.1.7Thisspecificationcoversinitialqualificationsampling,mechanicalandphysicaltests,analysis,anddesignvalueassignments.Requirementsforaquality-controlprogramandcumulativeevaluationsareincludedtoensuremaintenanceofallowabledesignvaluesfortheproduct.1.8Thisspecification,orpartsthereof,shallbeapplicabletostructuralcompositelumberportionsofmanufacturedstructuralcomponents.1.9Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
