【摘要】:Thisstandardistobeusedbythoseconcernedwiththedevelopmentoffire-test-responsestandards.Theresultantfire-test-responsestandardsareintendedtobeusefulinoneormoreofthefollowingareas,amongothers:productdevelopment,qualitycontrol,productcomparisons,screening,informationtobeusedaspartofafirehazardorafireriskassessment,andregulatorypurposes.Thispracticeisintendedtobeusefultousersoffire-test-responsestandardsbecauseitprovidesmuchofthegeneralrationaleforthedevelopmentanduseofsuchstandards.Thispracticeisnotintendedtoprovideguidanceforthepreparationoffirehazardassessmentstandardsorfireriskassessmentstandards.Thispracticeisnotintendedtoprovideguidanceforthepreparationofstandardsnotrelatedtofire-testresponsesofmaterials,productsorassemblies.1.1ThispracticeisasupplementtoFormandStyleforASTMStandards,whichshallbeconsultedinwritingallASTMstandards.1.2Thispracticecontains,directlyorbyreference,alloftheinformationrequiredtocomplywiththepolicyonfirestandardsandtheadditionalguidelinesrecommendedbyCommitteeE05.1.3Thispractice,intendedtoassistASTMCommittees,establishesguidelinesandcriteriaforthepreparationoffire-test-responsestandards(thatis,standardsforresponsetoheatorflameunderprescribedconditions).1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5Thisfirestandardcannotbeusedtoprovidequantitativemeasures.
